Turmoil in the Middle East
Everything’s so messy in Lebanon that I can barely form an opinion either way, but there’s one particular, far less controversial, aspect which befuddles me. How do you spell Hezbollah?

More of the Same
I saw Ted Baillieu, new leader of Victoria’s liberal party, on the ABC news today. Really impressive fellow. I’ve never seen such dedication to sounding so completely neutral.

Is it safe to come out yet?
Having spent the last few years scaring the shit out of us all by predicting our imminent and painful deaths, the Murdoch papers were in a bit of a predicament when, despite Tom’s unending cynicism, something bordering on scary actually happened this week with the terror arrests.

The Wizard of Oz
Sometimes, the name of a weblog post comes before you know what you’re going to write about. But this was easy.

Sensational
Only the Herald Sun could take something which isn’t actually an issue — the existence of fee paying places in our premier state schools - and use it to peddle what seems to be some kind of racist agenda on their front page.

Documentary Evidence
Damn that Michael Moore. He’s spoiled my innocence. I used to be able to watch documentaries and think I’d learned something.

Al Qorby
Until now the main take home message for me from the whole Corby saga was that if you are going to be international drug smuggler, make sure you are a good looking Anglo female in your mid-to-late twenties since this seems to be sufficient proof of your innocence to the vast majority of Australians.

The Future
In the future, all the grapefruit weblogs will be combined into one, more frequently updated, weblog. Smaller posts may proliferate with interesting links.

To Bad Rubbish
Woah! TV TV TV! Going to Perth was like a television overdrive. My poor little iPod is packed with episodes of That 70s Show and Stargate SG-1. And then I return to more new Alias episodes… And then Mum and Dad finally get me the complete Yes, Minister. To think that at one point I was downloading Smallville.

Allah help us
Umm… Well, this is just a little bit embarrasing. I have spent the last 36 hours locked in emergency mettings of the executive committee of Efuwob (Earthlings for a Universe without Bush). We were anticipating there would be at least a couple months of legal battles before Dubya stole this election.

Congratulations
Well done, America. Record voter turn out. You might get the hang of this democracy thing one of these days. You’re almost there. Just one, small issue.

Not good
The vote is 197 to 133 in favour of Bush. Things are not looking good. I can console myself with the fact that most of the states for Bush are in the middle of the US. That was to be expected.

To choose or not to choose.
Now that Lara Croft is telling people to vote there will be a decent turnout.

I’m in Here.
Bloody hell. See what happens when I stop posting. I should have been using my influential blog status to stop everyone voting for Howard and counter Andrew’s curse.

Fuck Indeed
Once again the Australian votes have demonstrated why we should do away with this old fashioned notion of democracy and just make me supreme leader of the universe.

Fuck
Perhaps, if Mr Howard killed a puppy in front of the electorate, they’d sit up and take notice.

In the Black
Oh yes. I’ve got positive money. No more of this negative money, or anti-money as I like to call it. Nasty stuff. So now, I’m earning interest and not paying bank fees.

Paranoia and acronyms
Good to see we are all keeping this terrorism thing in perspective. Our wise leaders are taking the sensible steps of removing our freedoms…
