Whiter Whites and Brighter Brights
I’ve done it, I’ve caved. Too many people with too many DSes and it all got too much for me. Look at all the white shiny things.

Halo Halo I don’t know why I say Halo
The upcoming Halo movie got itself a new director recently, but lost a script. My hit-sensing senses are still wavering. There’s no reason why a Halo film shouldn’t rock to high heaven but people screw things up all the time.

Sit down, Wii’ve got some bad news.
Nintendo says “Wii will rock you.” By which they mean that they’ve renamed their next console. It’s not Revolution anymore. I don’t hate the new name. It’s unique. It’s … sigh … it’s just that it’s pronounced ‘wee’ — as in urine.

Wii should all start making puns
Or perhaps we shouldn’t. Because the last thing the internet really needs right now is another bunch of guys making jokes about this. But what the hell.

GNAH!! Stupid importing. The price of the DS lite was originally supposed to be $230. I have no problems paying that…

Fahrenheit
The musical, City of Angels, is going brilliantly. Well, pretty good. We’re a little less than two weeks out and everything feels like it’s coming together. Good cast, good atmosphere, and most importantly quite a few of us seem talented too.

Summer Break
It’s been a quiet time around the Grapefruit office while everyone’s away on summer break. Or at least, that sounds like a good excuse for the lack of things around here.

Peter Jackson was interviewed recently by Paul Fischer about the upcoming Halo film (which he’s producing) and gave some really straightforward replies.

Important Transport Bulletin
Only for those in Melbourne, naturally. Back in April, when the Metcards had price adjustments, they changed the way that 10 times 2 hour tickets work. Now, if you validate them a second time in one day, they automatically last you until 2am the next morning. How sweet is that?

Ah, what could possibly distract from the important task of writing essays and studying? Bearing in mind that these things must be accessible from the same places that I’m supposed to be doing work; i.e. my room.

The Jade Empire Anticipation Post
This looks sweet. Reading this review makes me sensibly cautious about fighting and customization — which is a shame, as I really like fiddling around with all the character-building minutae. However, then I read the first few paragraphs again and all is well.

The curse.
I swore I’d not be involved with the accursed cheque again. It’s only going to cause trouble I said. It’s a trap I told him. I’m not fooled by this early morning call. It’s false hope. But he pleaded with me.

Good Riddance
Glad that’s over. Now it’s time to get down the serious business of 2005. There’s some plenty of gaming to be done. I had a dream in which I bought Metroid Prime 2. It’s clearly a portent telling me to buy Metroid Prime 2, which I shall do. Such a shiny cover.

Halo 2 continued…
How exciting. The two-minute ‘tutorial’ level which is ommited from the co-op campaign actually has a few very cool minutes of cut-scenes. So it turns out the intro I thought was the intro isn’t. It explains quite a bit of stuff. Never mind. I’ve seen it now.
